There is something rather delightful about opening the mailbox and being greeted by your name on something delicious like an envelope or package. Surprises in the mail are some of most endearing gifts. I love receiving mail. Childhood memories of surprises waiting in the mailbox bring a lot of reminiscing.

If you love mail as much as I do, you might even find your way to Amazon to order art supplies or something exciting just so you will get mail! And then one day last fall, I discovered this thing called artsnacks. I was a little skeptical, but decided to give it a try. Patiently waiting for the first box to arrive was a bit of a core. Finally, the beginning of October rolled around, and hello… a box was waiting for me in the mail! The giggles of pleasure escaped through my fingers as I opened the box and pulled out one new art supply at a time. My mind begins buzzing with ideas… and the moment to sit down and create can’t come fast enough.

Artsnacks goodies and art challenge using all the supplies found in the box.
My Favorite Box!

November 2016
Ran out of time to finish the challenge. Absolutely love the plumchester brush pen!
So much pink. I’m still uncertain about pink…

December 2016/January 2017
Goodies and challenge. December’s box left me a little
disappointed, but January brought some brightness back.

Fellow artists. If you are looking for a little rush of excitement and a monthly challenge using new tools, you just might love getting your own artsnacks box. Need some more encouragement? You even get a piece of candy in your box. 😉

Once a month, try something you don’t think you’d be good at.
You can find such happy surprises.
